Artwork

If you are supplying us with artwork, here are some really useful pointers to help create production-ready files. It often saves us time when artwork is supplied correctly and ‘ready to go’.

Artwork templates

If you need simple-to-follow artwork templates, don’t worry, we have them available for you to use.

We have a number of downloadable artwork templates below, which you might find helpful. These are also available on the individual product pages. If a particular template is not available, you can usually find sizing information on the product pages either within the descriptions or via a product spec sheet.

Sizing
Artwork should be set up to size or equivalent scale (10%, 25%, 50%, for example) and should have a minimum of 3mm bleed and crop marks.

PDF’s
Where possible, please send artwork as a PDF.

When exporting a PDF, under the compression tab, please ensure that all three drop-down boxes read ‘Do Not Downsample’ as this will ensure that the images are saved as high resolution as possible from the source file.

If you are sending original artwork files, i.e. InDesign, .ai, .eps, etc., and not a PDF, you will need to send us all elements associated with the design/artwork, such as fonts and imagery, so we can produce your graphics.

Crop-marks & bleed
Printed artwork should have a minimum of 3mm bleed and crop marks.

Please allow the relevant bleed at the bottom of Roller Banner artwork as per template instructions, as this is important for production. Artwork templates can be found on the product pages.

Imagery
Supply images in CMYK colour mode.

All images should be high resolution – 100dpi at print size, where possible. Double the resolution when creating half-size artwork, i.e. 50% should be set with a 200dpi file, 25% 400dpi, etc.

Vector images can generally enlarge to any size you like, as long as they don’t include photos within the artwork – in which case it’s important to take notice of the resolution information mentioned above.

If you’re in need of imagery, there are various stock libraries which you can use. These include Shutterstock and Adobe Stock.

How & where to send artwork

To keep everything running smoothly, we request that artwork be sent when placing an order. You can do this via the upload portal in the Basket before completing your order.

This doesn’t impact dispatch time, but means we can schedule production when an order arrives.

Send the relevant artwork via the upload button you’ll find beside your chosen product, along with any helpful instructions.

And importantly, please do not send artwork for multiple product orders together within the same upload portal – artworks become misaligned, and errors can occur.
